CSA School Governance Program Short Course 4
This short course (Governance Sustainability) is the fourth day of the Effective Governance four-day training program, which in total covers 12 modules specifically for board members and those in governance roles.
EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE - SHORT COURSE 4
Christian schools seek to provide quality education and care in faithful response to the Gospel of Christ. The School Governance Program developed by Effective Governance in collaboration with Christian Schools Australia is a 12-module course designed to equip Christian school board members, the principal and school leadership team with the key governance knowledge they need to understand and support the board's role so that directors remain mission true and ministry-orientated and secure the school's long-term sustainability. The course is based on the School Governance Practice Framework, which is adapted from the Corporate Governance Practice Framework and Methodology, published in the Directors at Work: A Practical Guide for Boards. (Thomson Reuters, 2012).

This event is catered and you will be given the opportunity to specify dietary requirements at registration.
Cost: $200 + GST
Each module comes with:
- A set of Topical notes (approx. 40 x A4 pages)
- Presentation PowerPoint slides (approx. 50 slides)
- Activity/case studies
- Checklist for boards

Speaker
Ian Doyle: Senior Advisor, Effective Governance
Ian is a senior advisor at Effective Governance. He is a Human Resource profession with over 25 years experience in the Banking and Insurance industries. Ian started his HR career in Westpac ultimately having responsibility for Senior HR portfolios across the Qld regional baking network the national business banking loan sector and the national consumer sales team. Ian then moved to Suncorp and was responsible for the group Learning and Development function and the centralised HR service function . More recently Ian was the general manager for HR at Bank of Queensland for 7 years. Whilst in this role he was responsible for the Board HR relationship, in particular managing the relationship with and supporting the Board Remuneration Committee. Ian has always had a strong focus on culture and people risk, including OH&S and unethical or inappropriate behaviour.
Qualify for CPD Hours
This event attracts 5 CPD hours.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing to Kim Brown at Flinders. No refunds will be issued after 14 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee. The registration is transferable.
The event program is subject to change without prior notice.
Registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself.
A full refund (less any unrecoverable registration costs) will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to any other reasons out of the organisers control.
