CSA Senior Leaders Institute

This training course has been intentionally designed and developed for Deputy Principals and Heads of School in Christian schools.

The Senior Leaders Institute is a two-day event designed to enhance your leadership skills and broaden your practice of contextual intelligence. This event is designed for Deputy Principals and Heads of School and is open to staff from CSA member schools.

Dates: Monday, 13 May starting at 9am until Tuesday, 14 May concluding at 3.30pm

About the Program: Day 1 will see Dr. Kutz delve into the art and science of making a lasting impact in uncertain times, followed by an exploration of the Meta-Skills for Contextual Intelligence. After a rejuvenating break, the focus returns to overcoming obstacles associated with practicing Contextual Intelligence. Day 1 culminates with insights into effective leadership.

Day 2 promises to be equally enriching, with sessions on using foresight to create a purpose-driven life. Sessions on Insight and Hindsight follow, concentrating on discovering how curiosity leads to developing your passion and the art of remembering well.

The program includes an exploration of the needs and challenges of deputies, concluding with an interactive Q&A session for a comprehensive debrief of the Contextual Intelligence Profile.

Registration for the event includes two days of professional learning, a personalised Contextual Intelligence Profile (TM), morning tea and lunch both days and a copy of the Contextual Intelligence book by Dr Matt Kutz.

Please note: participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and incidental costs as required, as well as breakfast and dinner costs. Information regarding how to secure the discounted event rate for accommodation/breakfast will be provided upon registration. There will be an optional dinner arranged on Monday night to give participants an opportunity to gather and dine together (select and pay for this option as you register)

Note for interstate participants: We strongly encourage interstate participants to arrive on Sunday evening to avoid flight disruptions and to be refreshed and ready for a 9am start on Monday.

Speakers

Dr Matt Kutz: Consultant and Corporate Trainer

Dr. Matthew R. Kutz (Ph.D., ATC, CSCS, BCC) is married to his best friend and love of his life, Angie. Together they have two grown sons and live in Ohio. In addition to his favorite roles as husband, dad, and grandpa, he is currently, a Clinical Professor in the Doctor of Athletic Training Program at Florida International University where he focuses on teaching courses related to entrepreneurial and global leadership. Matt’s teaching and scholarship focuses on leadership development and contextual intelligence.

Matt developed and designed the Contextual Intelligence Profile™ to assess the contextual intelligence behaviors of individuals and organizations. To date, Matt’s training programs and Contextual Intelligence Profile™ have been used by executives, managers, members, and staff at multinational and Fortune 500 companies, universities, professional associations, churches, governmental agencies, and NGO’s in several countries.

Matt has written dozens of scholarly and professional journal articles and five books. Matt is an award-winning educator, award-winning author, and award-winning researcher. His book on Contextual Intelligence was honored for Innovation and Cutting-Edge Perspective by the University of San Diego’s prestigious Leadership Book Awards. Matt has been the recipient of several other awards including, outstanding research and scholarship, outstanding educator, service-learning awards, and outstanding alumni awards.

For fun Matt enjoys “competing” recreationally in triathlons, 5K’s and 10K’s. He loves to travel and has trekked an active volcano to find endangered Mountain Gorillas of Uganda, cage dove with Great White Sharks in the Indian Ocean and walked the Great Wall of China.

This event is hosted by Dr Maria Varlet, Executive Officer, VIC/TAS and Dr Darren Iselin, Director of Research and Innovation.

Qualify for CPD Hours

At the conclusion of this event, a certificate of professional learning,  for self-accreditation, will be made available to participants, via your member dashboard. The event will address the following CSA Leadership Framework areas:

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organiser. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued after 31 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee. 

Please note that registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself. A full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to any reasons out of the organisers control.
