Sam studied medicine and bioethics at Otago University before working at Whangarei Hospital and then locuming in Australia. He came to faith there in 2002 and began a gradual career (and salary!) change. He moved back to NZ and joined the pastoral care team at Life Church in Mount Eden. For the last three years he has been Student Dean and lecturer at Life Leadership College, while completing a Masters in Pastoral Theology. He is interested in most aspects of faith and culture - in particular, how individuals establish and enhance a personal spirituality that is stable and sustaining. Sam has been very happily married to Julia since March 2010. He is slowly, and somewhat painfully, learning to kiteboard. Sam is the Communications Manager for the Foundation. He can be contacted at sam.bloore@compass.org.nz
